We are seeking an independent and motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to contribute to the blood research programme at the SCRM, funded by the Wellcome Trust. This is part of exciting multidisciplinary project in collaboration with the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS), NHS-BT, the Universities of Glasgow, Cambridge Loughborough and Bristol, Roslin Cells and the Catapult Cell Therapy. The overall goal of the project is to produce red blood cells in vitro from human pluripotent stem cells that could be used in blood transfusion. The specific goals for the Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Forrester lab is to design and implement strategies involving the use of specific transcription factors and reporter cell lines to optimise and enhance the differentiation protocol.
