We are seeking a highly motivated candidate for a two-year post-doctoral fellowship to join our team at the Department of Veterinary Sciences of the University of Turin.
The project will investigate the modulatory effects of GDNF/SST Ｏn sensory glutamatergic and peptidergic neurotransmission in two different models of chronic pain, a zymosan-induced inflammatory pain model and a streptozotocin-induced type 1diabetic neuropathic pain model and thus explore the potential use of GDNF/SST as therapeutic agents.
The applicant must have a PhD in Neuroscience or a related discipline, and no more than 35 years at the moment of the application.
The gross annual salary with a fulltime appointment is 23.000 €
The ideal candidate should have experience in a range of morphofunctional techniques, such as patch-clamp, Ca2 imaging, behavioural tests, immunhistochemistry.
