Two postdoctoral fellowship positions are available immediately to work Ｏn malaria transmission biology at Johns Hopkins University. The applicant must be self-motivated and have completed or will complete a PhD or MD/PhD degree by February 2015 and have demonstrated success publishing in international peer-reviewed journals that are indexed Ｏn PubMed.
Given the interdisciplinary nature of the laboratory, the applicant must have a strong background in molecular biology, molecular cell biology and/or protein biochemistry. Priority will be given to applicants who have a background in human or murine malaria research (i.e., parasitology) as well as vector biologists (molecular medical entomologists) looking to move into cross-discipline research working directly with the pathogen. Preference will also be given to those who work Ｏn other pathogen/vector models and have extensive expertise in tissue culture and mouse models of disease.
