Assistant Professorship in Computational Biology : Odense, Denmark

The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Faculty of Science, University of Southern Denmark (SDU) is seeking to recruit an assistant professor within the area of computational biology. Candidates with interests in bioinformatics, integrative systems biology and other areas of computational biology are encouraged to apply.

This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding young investigator to play a leading role in advancing the computational biology and bioformatics research and education programmes at a leading Danish University. We are particularly interested in recruiting an investigator with a research programme that complements or expands our current activities.

The successful candidate is expected to hold a PhD degree in a relevant field, several years of postdoctoral experience, and a research profile in computational biology as documented by publications in premier international journals. He/she must have an ambition to advance computational biology and bioinformatics research by establishing a dynamic, creative and internationally oriented research group and attract external research funding. The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching in bioinformatics, computational biology, biochemistry and molecular biology and related topics.
