Applications are invited from highly motivated analytical or environmental chemists to participate in several multidisciplinary research projects in the College of Public Health at the University of Iowa. To overall objective of these projects is to quantify laboratory or human exposures to environmental contaminants (e.g., organotin compounds) and establish a link to adverse health outcomes. The Candidate will conduct research work using laboratory facilities and resources in the Environmental Modeling and Exposure Assessment Facility, University of Iowa Environmental Health Sciences Research Center, which is an NIH/NIEHS Center of Excellence.

The Candidate should have doctoral level training (Ph.D. or equivalent) in analytical chemistry or a closely related field. Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience Ｏn extraction techniques, and chromatographic techniques such as GC/MS and/or GC/FPD is required. Experience with Agilent ChemStation is highly desirable. Besides a strong background in analytical chemistry, this position also requires excellent communication skills and the willingness to work within a well-integrated interdisciplinary research team of analytical chemists, chemical toxicologists and environmental epidemiologists.
