Starting salary is from £30,751 to £32,425 per annum

The Babraham Institute is a charity which is world renowned for its research in life sciences to enhance lives and improve wellbeing.
We are seeking a highly motivated inpidual with expertise in molecular biology who can develop an exciting project defining new molecular mechanisms of lymphocyte development. This will be studied in the context of mouse models of T cell development in the thymus. In particular we seek an inpidual who can make use of cutting edge technologies for measuring RNA protein interactions.
The project will focus Ｏn the zfp36 family of RNA Binding proteins that we have recently found to have key roles in T cell development and function. The lab benefits from a wide range of Institute science services, including flow cytometry, Illumina sequencing, bioinfomatics and transgenic facilities.
The successful candidate will join Dr Martin Turner’s team and will participate in an active programme of group and departmental meetings/seminars and will have the opportunity to attend scientific conferences as appropriate.
A PhD in Molecular Biology or Immunology combined with a strong background in Molecular
Biology is essential. Knowledge of Illumina-sequencing is highly-desirable to be successful
in this role.
