A highly motivated candidate is sought for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position or Instructor-level position (depending Ｏn experience) in the Center for Ultrasound Molecular Imaging and Therapeutics at the University of Pittsburgh. The candidate will design and synthesize novel polymer and lipid microbubbles and liposomes for ultrasound mediated siRNA, mRNA, and drug delivery applications. There will also be an opportunity to test these delivery strategies in cell culture and in vivo. The candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Flordeliza Villanueva, MD.
Experience:
The successful candidate will have completed a PhD in pharmaceutical sciences, chemical/biomedical engineering, or related field. Applicants must have significant experience conducting research in a relevant discipline such as nanoparticle preparation/characterization, synthetic chemistry, bioconjugate chemistry, and drug and gene delivery. Candidates must also demonstrate scientific communication skills, enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research and collaboration.
