Highly motivated candidates are invited to lead several new projects to address fundamental questions in RNA and protein homeostasis related to neurodegenerative diseases. Current directions in the lab include novel functions of nucleic acids, RNA binding proteins, and protein quality control and translation. Experimental approaches, including biochemistry, genetics, and cell biology, from invertebrate to mammalian systems are employed.
