Postdoc Position in Chemistry and Chemical Biology (CCB) at Rutgers : Rutgers, NJ, United States
The Izgu research lab in the Department of CCB at Rutgers is seeking applications for a postdoc position to work On bioinspired materials and synthetic biology. Consideration will be given to candidates trained in chemistry, chemical biology, biochemistry and/or bioengineering with an expertise in design and application of (functional) biopolymers, self-assemblies, and multiphase systems (e.g., colloidal particles, membranes, liposomes, micelles, or nucleic acid-peptide aggregates). Applicants should be scientifically driven and self-motivated individuals with the highest commitment to excellence in scholarship.
Minimum Qualifications (All of listed below):
• PhD degree in either Chemistry, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or a closely related field, at the time of the appointment.
• Substantial hands-on research experience and strong publication record.
• Strong communication and writing skills.
Desired Qualifications (At least One of listed below):
• Research experience with lipids, liposomes, micelles, and/or nucleic acids.
• Experience in fluorometry, DLS, and microscopy (DIC, fluorescence imaging, confocal microscopy, FRET).
• Experience in cell culture and Flow cytometry/cell sorting.
