The Department of Anesthesiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, seeks a Postdoctoral Research Scientist to investigate the signaling mechanisms of acute kidney injury.
Prospective applicants must be a recent recipient of a PhD and should also have experience in cell culture, immunohistochemistry, RT-PCR, and immunoblotting techniques. Proficiency in mouse survival surgery and anesthesia is required. Experiments involve genetically modified mice and cell culture models using pharmacologic pathway inhibitors of signal transduction.
Ability to work with minimal guidance is expected and essential. Applicants must be able to develop and learn new techniques as required for these studies.
