The salary will be paid at Grade 6, £37.412 to £38,434 per annum, inclusive of £3,223 per annum London Allowance.

This post will be offered Ｏn a fixed-term contract for 14 months.

This is a full-time post – 100% full time equivalent

Applications are sought for a post-doctoral research position working in the laboratory of Prof. Jeremy Green in the Centre for Craniofacial Biology & Regeneration, Guy’s Campus , King’s College London. This BBSRC-funded project is to investigate Ｏn how cells drive epithelial morphogenesis. Papers from the Green lab (Li et al. (2016) Development 143:670-681 and Panousopoulou & Green (2016) PloS Biology 14(3): e1002405) identified novel cellular dynamics for bending tooth germ epithelium, linking the cell biology and molecular signals to the generation of tissue forces, motions and phenotypes. The project will use explant culture, advanced microscopy, laser ablation, and image analysis to investigate other ectodermal organs (hair follicles, salivary glands, mammary ducts and others). Suitable applicants should have a strong background in developmental or cell biology. Experience working in the mouse system would be an advantage.
