Position Description:
We are looking for a flexible, well organized and independent person who is able to support the customer needs and also be the main contact with carriers and suppliers in Japan. The position will be responsible for maintaining a long term relationship with accounts and maximizing sales opportunities within them.
Your accountabilities will include:
Responsible for the customer relationship, tracking all shipment activity at the key accounts, reporting sales and profitability of the key account; leading the key account strategy development and execution with the product manager/product teams; responsible for forecasting and pricing.
-Work with Japan suppliers and carriers to define problem procedures and work with branch leadership/ operation to discuss and implement process improvements.
-liaising with clients, suppliers
-Prepares and follows-up On proposals to customers including pricing and commercial strategy in-line with business goals and targets. Responsible for all facets of the commercial negotiation of contracts.
-Communicates, liaises and negotiates internally and externally to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.
-Provides timely call reports, maintains account files, etc.
Required Qualifications:
-College/University degree
-Minimum 3 years’ experience in Global Forwarding
-Knowledge and experience of the global forwarding logistics and supply chain market
-Ability to communicate and build effective working relationships with internal peers and colleagues across all divisions and departments
-Fluency in Japanese speaking, reading, and writing required. (JLPT N2 required)
-Fluency in English speaking, reading, and writing required. (CET-6 or CET-8 required)
-PC literacy On MS word/excel
-Ability to work On own initiative.
-Must work well under pressure as a self-starter, handling multiple tasks –ability to work across many accounts, projects, and/or issues effectively
